Yup - I was never going to leave school before Armageddon came!! I left school quite a few years ago, and now my mother and father who were promised this by one of the so-called "heavenly hope", are both dead - many years after the assurance was given to them!

If so, you must make the real truth your own!! If you have a genuine faith and want to strengthen it, use the Bible to examine the man-made doctrines we've been indoctrinated with - don't use literature!
IMHO, the Watchtower CD ROM is the greatest Bible research tool on the planet for searching and harmonizing the Scriptures, and for exposing the numerous "skeletons" in the Org's cupboard! Use it to the full to prove to yourself what the Bible really teaches!
If your research subsequently proves to you that the Org is NOT God's direct channel of communication, then you have a clear decision to make - how you intend to let your new-found knowledge affect your life!
for example, let's say an awake jw wanted to share ttatt about the true meaning of john 10:16, so he just posts on his facebook wall a couple passages of scripture with no commentary whatsoever - like this:.

Try handing these Scriptures to fellow Witnesses, and they will very quickly discern exactly what you are implying and immediately turn you over to the B of E to be disciplined for apostasy to "Mother" in Brooklyn!

it always made me think when i corinthians 11 was read at the memorial, when jesus said "as often as you keep doing this..." i would think"hmmm, once a year isn't really very often, the other churches are a lot more often than us.".

It's interesting that the Greek word 'an' which is translated as "as often as" has no equivalent in English!

So I would imagine there would be a consensus amongst Greek scholars regarding the difficulty in trying to translate the word reasonably accurately.
Then again, the apostle Paul's words at 1 Cor. 5:7, "For indeed Christ our Passover has been sacrificed", could indicate that Paul now viewed Christ's sacrifice as a cause for superseding the original Passover, which was celebrated annually.

"Life Everlasting in the Freedom of Sons of God", said this, "....after the beginning of his reign of a thousand years as King......Jesus Christ will make a further application of his human lifeblood - it will cancel out all the past sins of all mankind. This will be in addition to the fact that those of mankind who have died have paid the penalty of sin and thus been acquitted from sin. (Romans 6:7) Hence it is that when the earthly dead come back in the resurrection of the dead because of Christ's ransom sacrifice, their past sins will not be held against them".
Watchtower! 1974 10/1 p. 607; "In its broad application, it could correctly be said that one who has died has been acquitted from sin".
"The Bible explains that at death a person is set free or released from any sins he committed. It says: He who has died has been acquitted from his sin." (Romans 6:7) w82 5/15 pp.8,9
There are various other WT references which state that Paul was referring to a physical death. The implications of this spurious and demonic teaching has gone over the heads of most Witnesses worldwide, namely, that Christ's death was meaningless and unnecessary, because whether we die of cancer, heart-attack, or being hit by a truck delivering beer, ALL our sins are forgiven immediately - because our OWN death wipes out our sins!!
What a sin against the Holy Spirit, teaching and believing such a lie!!

Hi Jen, I am so sorry to hear of your stress.
Reading experiences such as yours makes me even more determined to be resolute when I reach the final stages of my fade.
When I say "resolute" I don't mean in a confrontational way - that would just motivate them to come after me. No, I'm going to play the "serious problems which I can only pray about" card!
Giving them no information whatsoever debilitates them!! Their existence & power is based on personal knowledge of their victims.
They can't discipline you because you won't discuss PRIVATE & PERSONAL details about your "problems".
Give them ANY information whatsoever, and they've got their wedge into your life - I'd bet my house on it!!!!
Telling them it's deeply personal will cheese them off, because they know that if they push you, all you will have to say to them is, "Will you sit and discuss with me all of YOUR private and personal concerns first, then I'll tell you mine?". That'll bring the point home!!
Don't answer anything, just keep side-stepping any persistence on their part by repeating your prepared answer.

this week in the brochure for the "bible reading" it states on subject 24. that jehovahs witnesses wrote a century ago that jehovahs bacjs us and we do t take donations "and we never have!!!!

Also, the blatant levy or tax on every congregation's publishers to finance the air fares of missionaries etc to bring them home for conventions in 2014! Also, the deception of the Kingdom Hall Fund - the money DONATED (in the mind of the giver!) is supposed to be used to help provide Kingdom Halls where needed. NOPE!! The money which is donated, is LOANED to those in need of a new KH, and then the Org claws it back from that congregation's own funds through time. Therefore, the Org uses a MONEY-LENDING set-up for the donations - thereby keeping money which was NOT donated for the Org's use, but for needy congregations!
